Hauthane HD-2120 DMM
A very hard, NMP-free, APEO-free, aliphatic, polyester polyurethane dispersion.
Suggested Uses: HD-2120 DMM was developed for use on rigid PVC. Coatings containing this polymer form hard, tough, hydrolysis-, chemical- and stain-resistant films, which approach 2-component polyurethane performance levels. Superior adhesion to PVC makes it the ideal candidate for automotive interior parts, vinyl furniture and components.
- Superior adhesion to PVC
- Excellent UV resistance
- Exceptional alcohol resistance
- Humidity resistance
- Contains dipropylene glycol dimethyl ether co-solvent

HD-2120 DMM can be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions for spray, dip or rotogravure applications. It can be thickened with associative thickeners for alternative application methods.
The addition of coalescing solvent is recommended to achieve optimal film formation with HD-2120 DMM. In ambient-cured systems the addition of 5 – 10 % DPnB coalescing solvent is suggested. Less coalescing solvent is required in heat-cured systems to attain comparable film properties. Typical drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to optimize film characteristics.
