Hauthane L-2985
Soft, aliphatic, water-borne polyurethane dispersion in a blend of DMM and propylene glycol solvents.
Suggested Uses: L-2985 was designed for use in textile applications that require a soft hand coupled with very good strength, abrasion resistance, excellent adhesion, and excellent resiliency. Due to its overall properties, L-2985 can be used as a finish or a coating. This versatile urethane is ideally suited for use as a finish for nylon and polyester threads and as a coating for nylon and vinyl substrates. L-2985 is also ideally suited for textile-coating applications that require excellent low temperature flex crack resistance. The low melt temperature also allows L-2985 to be used as a heat seal coating. When properly formulated, L-2985 can be used as a coating for awning fabrics, boat cover fabrics, and other architectural fabrics.

Application
L-2985 may be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions. Viscosity modification can be made with associative thickeners for application by spray, knife-over-roll, or other methods.
Curing
Typical oven drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to produce optimal film properties. Do not use crosslinking agents for heat-seal coating applications.
