Hauthane L-3466
An aliphatic, silicone-modified, polyester-based, water-borne polyurethane dispersion.
Suggested Uses: L-3466 was designed primarily for topcoat applications where slip and abrasion resistance properties are required. L-3466 contains a non-fugitive silicone component that provides low surface tension characteristics on flexible and rigid substrates including leather, plastics, metals and textiles. It also demonstrates exceptional dye transfer resistance in automotive leather seating and dry-erase, white board applications when crosslinked.
Characteristics:
- May be formulated into low surface tension coatings
- Exceptional dye transfer resistance
- Excellent abrasion resistance
- Higher silicone content (~2X) than HD-2602
- Crosslinkable for improved adhesion and performance
- Contains n-ethyl pyrrolidone (NEP) co-solvent

Application
L-3466 may be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions for spray or rotogravure applications. Rheology modifications can be made with associative thickeners for alternative application methods.
Drying
L-3466 can be air dried, if desired, depending on film thickness. Typical oven drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to produce optimal film properties.
